Floyd Valley Healthcare Announces New General Surgeon

Floyd Valley Healthcare welcomes Dr. Catherine Christen.  Dr. Christen is a board-certified general surgeon.  She will begin seeing patients and providing services in September.  To schedule an appointment for Dr. Christen, please call Floyd Valley Surgery  (712) 546-3332.

Dr. Christen completed her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Utah School of Medicine where she received a number of academic accolades and conducted grant-funded research on anti-cancer medications.  She completed her general surgery residency through the Mayo Clinic Florida.  In addition, she served in the United States Army for three years.

Dr. Christen and her husband Kris have four children and enjoy family time.  She also enjoys woodworking and house renovations.  A fun fact about Dr. Christen, she can build a house from the ground up including framing, electrical and plumbing!
