Leadership Team

Dustin joined Floyd Valley Healthcare in December 2018 as CEO. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of Missouri. Dustin’s career includes the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, Sanford Sheldon (IA) Medical Center, Community Memorial Hospital in Sumner, IA, and finally VP of Operations at UnityPoint Health, Marshalltown, IA, where he served prior to Floyd Valley Healthcare.

A native of Primghar, Iowa, Dustin and his wife, Andrea, have a daughter named Charli. They stay active golfing, bike riding, running, hunting, fishing and watching the Iowa Hawkeyes! In addition to being involved in numerous community activities, Dustin is a member of the local Kiwanis Club, a Big Brother in the Big Brother Big Sisters of Siouxland program and also serves as president of the Le Mars Area Betterment Foundation. Dustin is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and is involved on various levels of the Iowa Hospital Association. 

As Chief Financial Officer at Floyd Valley Healthcare, Daryl is responsible for managing the financial systems and financial planning of operations associated with the hospital and related entities. Daryl earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Westmar College, Le Mars, Iowa, and an MBA from the University of South Dakota. He joined the staff in 1988. 

A native of Bloomfield, Nebraska, Daryl and his wife, LeAnn, have three children – Brian, Adam and Megan. In addition to being involved with numerous family activities, Daryl is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, the Chamber Ambassadors, the Le Mars Business Initiative Corporation and other community volunteer activities.

Susan George has been the Chief Human Resources Officer at Floyd Valley Healthcare since November of 2019 after a long HR career, the most recent eight years working exclusively in healthcare. 

Prior to joining Floyd Valley Healthcare, she was Director of Human Resources at Siouxland Community Health Center in Sioux City, Iowa. As part of her dedication to the Human Resources field, Susan has served on the Siouxland Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Board of Directors for the past three years and as the 2020 board president. She lives with her husband Keith and stepdaughter Kaitlyn in Sioux City. Susan and her family are actively involved with animal rescue as a foster home for dogs.

Tara was named Chief Nursing Officer in January 2022. She serves on the leadership team and is responsible for managing and directing Floyd Valley Healthcare’s nursing care services.

She began her nursing career in 2001 after earning her Associate Degree in Nursing from Western Iowa Tech Community College, Sioux City, and in 2017 she earned her Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from Briar Cliff University. In addition to providing specialized care for surgical and oncology patients, she has held several leadership roles throughout her career including quality management and patient services at a federally qualified health center, hospice team manager and a medical manager. Tara joined Floyd Valley Healthcare in 2014 as the Community Health Manager, overseeing public health, home health services, and recently, vaccine outreach. Tara is also an adjunct faculty member at WITCC.

Tara and her husband, Scott, reside in Hinton with their five children, Delaney, Brooklyn Addyson, Chloey and Easton. In addition to enjoying their children’s numerous activities, she enjoys reading, baking and traveling.
