Arens Announced as Floyd Valley Community Health Manager

Floyd Valley Healthcare CNO Tara Geddes announced that Reba Arens, RN, BSN, MHA has accepted the position of Floyd Valley Community Health Manager.  In this position, Arens will manage the daily operations of community health, home health and the public health functions of emergency preparedness, immunizations, communicable disease surveillance.  She will begin her new duties on January 24, 2022.

Arens received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Healthcare Administration degrees from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, SD. She has nearly ten years of experience in the nursing field including a human service center, dialysis center and most recently a diabetes educator with Floyd Valley Diabetes Education.  Arens states, “I am thrilled to join the Floyd Valley Community Health team.  My goal is to continue to partner with the community to improve overall wellness.”

“We are excited to have Reba leading the Floyd Valley Community Health team,” states Geddes.  “She has an excellent mix of education and work experiences that we feel will be a great fit in this position.  As we transition Reba into her new role, we look forward to her drive to keep all of our community partners educated on the current pandemic as well as other issues affecting Plymouth County and neighboring counties.”

Arens, her husband Mitch and two sons live in rural Plymouth County.  She enjoys spending time with her family helping at the farm, gardening and walking.
