Floyd Valley Healthcare hosts luncheon “Vision for Life”

Floyd Valley Healthcare will host a community program entitled “Vision for Life” on Wednesday, November 16, 2022. The luncheon will be held 12:00-1:00 p.m. in the lower level Conference Center, Room #1.  A lunch will be provided FREE of charge. Seating is limited and reservations are required. Reservations will be taken until November 14.

Dr. Justin Kuiper, ophthalmologist with Bruening Eye Specialists, will be the presenter.   Dr. Kuiper will share recommendations for maintaining high quality vision as we age. Topics to be discuss include cataracts, age related macular degeneration (AMD) and diabetic retinopathy.  The presentation will end with a Q&A segment.

Dr. Kuiper is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist who manages a wide variety of medical and surgical eye problems. His interests include cataract surgery, LASIK, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and minor oculoplastics. He enjoys helping patients achieve and maintain their best vision throughout their lives. He values developing relationships with patients and strives to provide empathetic care, guided by research and using the latest technology.

Dr. Kuiper was raised in Sheldon, Iowa before completing his undergraduate degree at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa. He attended medical school at the University of Iowa, then moved to Columbus, Ohio for his ophthalmology residency at Ohio State University. He was in practice in Minnesota before joining Bruening Eye Specialists in April 2022.

Dr. Kuiper enjoys spending time with his family and getting outdoors whenever possible. His interests include golfing, hiking, biking, running, and being active in church and community.
