Floyd Valley Healthcare Identified as a Top 20 Critical Access Hospital in America by the National Rural Health Association

The National Rural Health Association (NRHA) identified Floyd Valley Healthcare as one of the Top 20 Critical Access Hospital in America based on the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX®.  NRHA’s Top 20 Winners are the highest ranked of the Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals as named by The Chartis Center for Rural Health.

Both the Top 20 and Top 100 performing Critical Access Hospitals are identified through the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX®, the most comprehensive and objective assessment of U.S. rural and Critical Access Hospital performance based upon market, value-based and financial measures.  By assessing performance across 36 individual indicators and eight pillars of performance, the INDEX brings a rural-relevant perspective to health care leaders making strategic and operational decisions.

“I was very pleased to learn that Floyd Valley Healthcare has been identified as a Top 20 Critical Access Hospital for 2024,” states Dustin Wright, CEO.  “There are 1,353 CAH nationally, with 82 calling Iowa home.  We are proud to bring this level of service to the communities we serve.  We do not take our obligations lightly to ensure our safety, quality and patient experience exceeds expectations.  For FVH to be listed among the top 20 nationally is quite an honor! This simply could not be accomplished without the hard work and dedication our 400+ team members put in every day. I could never say thank you enough to our dedicated team.”
