Harris Announced as March Hot Shot

David Harris, the son of Amanda Peterson, is the March Hot 11th Shot.  David is an amazing 6 year old that is goofy, smart and fun loving.  He has been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and works hard with his occupational and speech therapists.  David will celebrate his 7th birthday on March 16th!

ASD is a developmental disability caused by differences in the brain.  While those with autism may look like everyone else, they may behave, communicate, interact and learn in ways that are different from most people.  Their abilities may vary significantly.  We still have much to learn about what causes autism and how it impacts the people with ASD.  According to the CDC, about 1 in 44 children have been identified with ASD.

Please join us in celebrating David, our March Hot Shot!

The Sioux City Musketeers, in partnership with Floyd Valley Healthcare (FVH) began the Hot Shots program in 2018.  This program was created with the goal of honoring FVH pediatric patients who have chronic health issues. We are excited to give children an opportunity to have a fun time with their family, cheer on the team and just enjoy being a kid for a night.
