Will (Thyr) Joins Floyd Valley Healthcare Staff

Floyd Valley Healthcare announces the addition of Jo (Thyr) Will, LMSW, CSW in Social Services.  She will be a resource and advocate for our patients.  She began her duties in January.   

Jo received her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Northwestern College in Orange City.  She went on to receive her Master of Social Work from University of Iowa. Jo brings with her 28 years of experience including Director of Behavioral Health at Promise Community Health Center, social worker with Orange City Health System and their Home Health team, a professor of social work at Northwestern College and most recently a social worker with Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD.  She has additional interests in the wisdom and losses in the aging population, self-care, preventing compassion fatigue, work-life balance and mindfulness practices.  Jo also has been certified in the past in the areas of substance abuse and preventing compassion fatigue.

In her free time, Jo enjoys walking, reading including book club, Bible studies, being a plant mom, spending time with friends and family, traveling, sewing, collecting inspirational signs, music and antiquing.  Jo added, “I am so grateful to be here at Floyd Valley Healthcare and I appreciate this opportunity to serve and be on this great team.”
